What is a "Terminal" and where can I find it. Someone told me I need to do this at the terminal: sudo apt-get install cheese. Please, I am new to Ubunto and do not understand this terminology. Please make responses understandable for those who know absolutely nothing about Ubuntu.

Hello

Terminal can be found in applications -> accessories -> terminal and the command is used for installing the cheese program which is used for webcams..

Thank you. I found the terminal. I typed the exact code in. I hit enter and it is asking for my password. So I typed in my password and nothing displayed. It just keeps repeating that I need a password. How do I execute the code?

Very good. That explains alot. This is the type of info we newbees need to know. Thank you so much for your help. There is however one other question I have for you. I can find no program downloaded for my webcam. I thought sudo apt-get install cheese was supposed to install my webcam. I am pulling my hair out here guys. How do I see my webcam on the internet?
