System Monitor

In the System Monitor, under the System tab, it shows that I have
Processor 0: Intel (R)Atom(TM) CPU N280 @ 1.66 GHz
Processor 1: Intel (R)Atom(TM) CPU N280 @ 1.66 GHz

I thought Atom N280 is only single-core.
How come there are 2 CPUs shown?

well, I am not sure.
It's the Asus EeePC 1008HA netbook.

What is the output of the command:

lshw -C CPU

or you can try

cat /proc/cpuinfo

According to that page it's a single core but it's also hyperthreaded, so I assume that's why you're seeing two processors.
