I used to be able to author DVd's no problem. Software center, art and
synaptic all say there is no package Devede....

I have tried to use other programs with various error messages, seems to
revolve around libdvdcss not being available. I have restricted extras
installed.

Devede is clearly in the repos....why say it isn't?

I don't know why the software center says that. I re-installed synaptic,
and now devede shows up in synaptic; had force install as there were
dependencies that would not install without forcing. I think this may be
related to the medibuntu repositories going away; possibly several
programs that are affected haven't been updated? I am trying devede as I
type this... will advise as to results.

When I try to burn from devede, Brasero shuts down with input/output
error
