Can you use less technical terminology as it is tripping you up and explain the issue. What is happening and what do you expect to happen? Which release of Ubuntu are you using?

Suck ? What exactly you mean ?

Can you open a terminal (CTRL+ALT+T) and issue the following commands one by one ?

    lspci -nnk | grep -iA2 vga
    echo $DESKTOP_SESSION
    lsb_release -rcd ; uname -rm

Post back here full results.
