no sign of second hard drive shown

installed a second hard drive in my system but I cannot see it anywhere.
How can I mount a drive if I have no information on it?
Also there is no file etc/fstab??

Can you give the output of:

sudo fdisk -l; lsb_release -a

Probably not the place to post this! I was sent here from somewhere in the Ubuntu site.
fdsk fixed the problem I think. Got that on the forums.
