ubuntu one required to install snaps

I tried to install Krita and I received an "Ubuntu One sign in" pop up. I do not have an account with Ubuntu One and I do not want one. I do not want software that requires this to show up in the available software. Can gnome software center be configured to not show this software or configured to install without Ubuntu One account?

If you run:

sudo apt-get install krita

Does it install OK?

Yes, that does work, as does:

sudo snap install krita

No prompt for Ubuntu One when I do either of those options. If I understand the bug report information here:

it is because on the cli I am elevating to root as I execute the install. In GNOME software the elevation request comes after clicking "Install" and since it's a snap package I am not presented with the native OS elevation prompt, but instead presented with Ubuntu One login.

My mom does not want to have an Ubuntu One account, does not want to do stuff on the CLI, so I was hoping there would be way to configure GNOME software to not show packages which require it.

Sounds like a definite bug. I only use CLI to install and remove software
