stuck in login loop solved by renaming .config but ...

Asked by Veronica Vildosola

I first suddenly had the problem of getting stuck in the login loop with all the existing users in my PC.
After following several blogs without, I could partially solved the problem by just renaming the ~/.config directory.
By doing that, I could finally login using the the graphic interface. But I would like to know why this happened and also how to get back to my original gnome desktop appearance, since now it look weird. Any suggestion? Thanks!

You can copy folders back one at a time and log off and on.

The ~/.config folder has a lot of settings in it.

I suspect that the issue will be permissions on the data.

Can you help with this problem?
