Must I always use Gnome-ppp as a super-user?
Asked by

Gnome-PPP is an excellent dial-up program which allows me to connect to the
internet when no high speed wired or wireless connection is available to me.
It has required a couple of changes that I must make to use it, however.
First, I must remove a faulty modemmanager:
sudo apt-get remove modem manager
Second, Gnome-PPP is not available from the Applications>
I have to use Applications>
Then I can log in using dial up to my ISP with my id/password in the resulting window.
I like the application and hope for some changes.
