power_save option of snd-hda-intel driver is 0 after resuming from suspend

The power_save option for hda driver gets set to 0 with suspend/resume. It doesn't matter if it's default in the kernel, set in modprobe.d/ as an option, or set on the fly. The value goes to 0 thus disabling it. Is there a resuming configuration to set it?
