Power Management

Asked by Robert Piccinelli

If I select either hibernate or suspend when exiting UBUNTU, it won't restart when I strike a key or move the mouse. I have set the power management options to "never" and just Log Out. I'm new to UBUNTU so if you can keep it simple that would be great.

Hibernate means to save the state of the computer onto the hard disk, and then turn off. Suspend means to keep the state in memory and enter a low-power state. In either case you have to turn the computer back on before it will respond.

Can you help with this problem?
