I can't switch between my desks

I will share with you some ways I use to switch between desks.

On the right part of the panel that is downsides, I click the square that is not highlighted in brown. I may click on the middle button of my mice to also flip between desks when the cursor is not over a window, although it may not work on yours. Also, if you have installed the compiz fusion package, you may change the current desk by clicking on one of them ( what I mean, anywhere on the screen except panels, icons, and windows) while pressing both the Ctrl and Alt Keys, and moving your mouse while still pressing all the keys I have mentioned. To change the current desk you may also slide a window either to the right or left side so it takes a place between the two desks.
