Panel Error

Asked by Ullas

Each time I boot into Linux Mint 11 Katya the panel encounters errors and ask me to delete clock or indicator applets. I tried to delete panel from .gconf - apps - panel, and tried it in terminal by typing sudo rm -rf ~/.gconf/apps/panel pkill gnome-panel & and with not good results it repeats for ever. even purged panel by sudo apt-get purge gnome-panel and installed by sudo apt-get install gnome-panel. No use. Please help. My Distro is Mint 11 (Katya).

Linux Mint 11 Katya - we don't support such requests. Please take it to Mint Forums.

Linux Mint doesn't use Launchpad for support like Ubuntu does. You can use http://forums.linuxmint.com for Linux Mint support.

Indeed, Linux Mint uses Launchpad....just not for technical support / user support, i.e., not for questions.

Linux Mint's Launchpad page had incorrectly stated that questions for it are tracked in mountall in Ubuntu. That problem has since been fixed (see https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+question/160082 for details if you're interested).

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Ullas for more information if necessary.
