Binary package hint: gnome-nettool

when i have absolutely no ethernet, wired or unwired ispn NONE installed. the nettool reads it's receiving and sending packets with the addresses in the summary. pls help. joann b turner

how and why are these addresses sending and receiving if ihave no internet connection on???

Because those IPs (v4 and v6) are the machine you are working on itself.
Many programs are working on a client-server-way... so they have to have a way to communicate. That's all.

Localhost routes are just as important as real network routes.

If you net is just not working please provide the output from:

$ ifconfig

and

$ lspci
