I have installed Ubuntu 20.04 on my HP system and the Wifi is not working as It is saying no Wifi adaptor found. I have tried all the commands/solutions available online and anywhere but not working.

I do not see any trace of a WLAN device in your output.
Are you sure that there is a WLAN device present and that it is activated (e.g. in BIOS and with Fn+Fx function keys)?

Can you please tell me how can I check that in Ubuntu that if WLAN is there or not?
Thanks

Is this a laptop or a desktop/tower system?
What do the specifications of the system tell (e.g. see your order confirmation, bill, ...)
Is there any information in BIOS shown about a WLAN device?
Revision history for this message

It is a laptop.
I have checked the BIOS and there is no information about WLAN in BIOS.

Has the WLAN device already worked once? If not, then maybe it is defective from beginning.
I suggest that you look at the support pages of HP.

Yes, WLAN was working before and it disappeared after installing UBUNTU 20.04.
Now, WLAN Is not appearing on both windows and Ubuntu.

Is this a dual boot system with Windows and Ubuntu?
If you open the device manager in Windows, is it shown there?
If not, then it looks more like a hardware defect than anything else.

#11 |
No, it is not a dual boot system, now it is a fully an ubuntu system.
