wireless network stopped working in 12.04

Asked by haydemon

I have a Toshiba Satellite L-455 running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. This morning the wireless connection stopped working for no apparent reason. The computer I'm writing this on is connected to the router, which tells me it's obviously a problem with the machine. This is output to ip add:

1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 16436 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN
     link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00
     inet 127.0.0.1/8 scope host lo
     inet6 ::1/128 scope host
          valid_lft forever preferred _lft forever

2: eth0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST>
