"Secrets" Window pops up after trying to connect to Home Network(linksys)
In addition, my computer won't connect to comcast modem & router (WPA/WP2) I typed in encryption key on bottom of modem/router into the WPA/WPA2 key in network management. The linksys is a BEFW1154 and says doesn't support WPA2 but it changes when I try to connect to both, so I just type in that encryption key into the key in network management.
Everytime I try to connect to the comcast modem/router it says its connected but then I pull up a browser and there is no internet(wierd) So yesterday I tried to connect to home network through an older linksys. It worked fine. But today I tried to connect through linksys and I get this "secrets" dialog box that pulls up and I have no idea what to type in it except the encryption key..?
I had zero problems before with connectivity to linux. Then I get this comcast box and all of a sudden linux isn't configured for it or something went wrong. I thought it was the comcast hardware since i could easily connect with the linksys. But now I can't get either? I'm using another computer right now. I use kubuntu. I call the comcast tech for routers/modems and she said in the past 5 years she has had only 1 other linux user call in making me 2. She thought it might be because linux doesn't support WPA2. She said they have no support for linux and I said that was sad. But I usually have zero problems with linux and if I do I can find answers quickly on google and fix them... I feel awkward on this one.
Thanks
