Hi ,
please open a terminal and give below command

==========================
gksudo nm-connection-editor
==========================

at the opened window you can edit your connections with root privileges.

Thanks

Thanks, But that's not my problem of connection setting. I did manual setting after following the steps for ADSL modem configuration
As
http://calcuttatelephones.com/dataoneinstall/mu09.html
There after
 my boot time has gone up to 2-3ms and my shut down time to over 11s! A slight increase is fine, but this is quite alarming.

Hi ,
I am not sure I understood correctly your problem.
Try this command

=====================================
sudo apt-get remove --purge modemmanager
=====================================

and see if fix your problem. Above command will UNINSTALL and purge all configuration files of modem-manager.

If your problem not solved , or different problems occur , you can install again modem manager with below command
==============================
sudo apt-get install modemmanager
==============================

Thanks
