problem configuring wireless on laptop
both my desktop and laptop have 11.10. my lappy, however, will not "browse" unless it is hard wired to my modem. My desk has no wireless, so i cannot cross check anything. when i pull down the menu on the desk, i get all kinds of info about the modem, etc. NOT so on the lap. I hope u have some suggestions. I would really like to configure it so i can be more mobile with it. Thanks in advance for the help, you guys are awesome!

thanks mr lee. at the end of that command where it says
[sudo] password for mrlee:
you need to type in your admin password to complete the command. Can you please re-run this command
nm-tool && uname -a && lsb_release -a && sudo lshw -C network && lspci -v
and when asked type in your admin password. Note that while you type it will not appear on the screen, this is normal.
it will take a few moments to gather the information. please post that info here.

There is a driver you can enable in the additional drivers. Just work through it, anything I give will just be a copy and paste from the page which is a waste of time
Can you help with this problem?
