Do I need a driver for a wireless adapter

I am having a hard time installing a Belkin N600 DB Wireless adapter. The cd can't be read through Ubuntu for the installation process.

have you tried to plug in and set up your adapter to see if it works out the box. generally speaking all of my wireless routers and wifi cards have worked with no install cd... not to mention your install cd is most likely for windows, not linux.

try setting it up and going to http://192.168.2.1 .. login with the default login

I went and bought a Linux friendly wireless adapter. Thanks for the help.
