Adding a volume icon to the panel

Asked by Mauricio A

I think I saw once a volume icon on the panel, and now I can't find it. It's not on the list of things I can add to the panel...

The volume icon is included in the applet called "notification applet" or something like that. This applet also includes the network applet and the messaging applet.

press ALT+F2
run:
gnome-volume-applet

Should bring it back.

The notification applet had the network icon that was missing.
However the volume control icon didn't appear, only the network
alt + f2 and gnome-volume-applet can't find the file. gnome-volume-control however does open a volume control window, but the icon on the panel doesn't appear.
Anyway, I'm happy at least the network icon is back

It was the indicator mini-app (or something like that, I have it in spanish).
Thanks.
