how can I burn vcd/dvd's on ubuntu 12.04

can some body instruct me how I can make a vcd or a dvd of a downloaded you tube film?

You can use devede which will make you a DVD ISO, you can then burn this as SLOWLY as possible to a DVD media and it will be ok.
