how to setup raid 0+1

I have installed Ubuntu 12.04 Unity Desktop to a 250G HDD. I also have 4 other HDDs that I want to setup as Raid 0+1 (or Raid 10) and dedicate to a file server. Where and how do I create the raid arrays. I was hoping for a GUI utility. But, I can do terminal as long as I have a good example that is correct for this version of Ubuntu. Can anyone take my feeble hand and walk me through or point me to a tutorials that is, again applicable to the current 12.04.1 LST Desktop running Unity.

After I get the arrays created, I'll be back for help with smb and samba.

The link you provided was a snipe hunt.
1) no directions or info that is directly applicable to current 12.04 LTS
2) While there was a vague reference to achieving Raid 0+1, that's all it was, a vague reference. the contents guide only listed directions for Raid 1 and 5.
3) there was an instruction that insisted that an Alternate CD must be used yet none of the links present led to an alternate CD. Links led to alternate install methodologies. ie USB, live cd, etc.

Further Information on my setup:
When I create the desired 0+1 Array using the bios on the SiI card, Ubuntu still sees 4 discrete drives. So, it seems unclear how I get Ubuntu 12.04 to see the array.
I would mention again that Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Desktop 32bit is already installed on a separate drive for the OS. The 4 File Server drives were not configured in any way during the OS install.
Is it required to configure Raid during the OS install? I assumed this could be done post OS install. Yet, I find no means to do so. Do I need to start over?

This is what I was looking for. BothThe "howtoforge" and the 'blog.troygrosfield" links were illuminating but didn't seem newbie friendly. I've marked them for future reference to peruse when I am more familiar and comfortable with the details.
