I have 12.04 LTS (32-bit) running in Gnome Classic. How do you edit the location of the launcher icons in the top field (spacebar- do not know what the right name for the top launcher bar is ). I have two instances of the same launcher icon there, but right click does not provide any option to move or delete. Please advise.

I believe if you hold ALT+CTRL it will help. The fallback is a real mess and I suggest you use XFCE instead.

Did not help. Only options under right click are: "Launch" and "Properties." How do I remove a launcher icon from the top panel??

Solved. You hold ALT and SUPER (MS Logo) keys during right click.
