I dont know if my version is a fully operational system
Asked by

Yesterday, I put a version of Ubuntu into my computer that runs alongside my Microsoft windows XP OS. I am not sure if this is the fully supported version, but in any case, I like it better than Windows. I want to take windows out, but if I do, will this version of Ubuntu be able to operate? Do I have to get another version? Some of the programs don't work either(tried to change the screen resolution but it went back to the original setting...)but this is running my computer much faster than Windows. i want to go fully Linux. I need some guidance here because I'm basically a novice, especially with Linux.
