How do I download OpenGL on a Linux system?

I am new to XUBUNTU and the Gnome Chess program for 3D says I need Python OpenGL support and Python GTKGLExt support but I do not even know what that means, let alone where to get it.

Hi,

Open Synaptic and search for the following packages:
-python-opengl
-python-gtkglext1

Right click on each of them and click "Mark for installation" and then click Apply.

Do you have 3D drivers installed and configured also? If the game is true 3D it will need hardware drivers to perform 3D rendering. If its a 2D game masquerading as 3D then any driver will work fine.

Thank you, I think this answers my question. I will check the drivers and dopwnload a #D driver if I do not have one.
