can't use gimp brushes- permission

it says i don't have the permission to save the brushes i downloaded to the right place so i can't use them... is there any way to change the permission stuff? i tried but since I'm not the owner i can't... and is there any way that i can use the brushes?

Maybe you can download it to your home folder, and after that, try to copy it to the right place ...
You can copy it by using nautilus as root ...

press alt+F2, a small box will be appear, type :

gksu nautilus (enter your password when asked) ...

And try to copy it ...
