gedit Hotkey InsertDateTime

Asked by Andreas Voss

I am rather new in Ubuntu. Coming from Windows, notepad-user, writing manual logfiles i rather often user hotkey F5 in Windows notepad to add Date / Time. Same function possible in gedit mit the insert-datetime-plugin, but no hotkey. I know - a comfort problem. But i like gedit really and want to contribute to make it better by telling this wish to you. Maybe you can forward this to the appropriate address.
Thank you.

Please open a wishlist bug in Malone against gedit in ubuntu : https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/gedit/+filebug

Fill in that, and mark it's importance as wishlist then if you can.

I put a message to the wishlist-bug as recommended.
