gdebi bug , when autoloaded by .deb package

I have seen this is many different os installations (ubuntu and ubuntu variants).
If a downloaded file is auto-opened with gdebi the software crashes when u press install.
Instead if you load gdebi seperately,and then load the deb package from its menu the bug doesn't happen and when you press install you get asked for admin/sudo password to continue and installation goes on properly always.
