Setting LD_PROFILE causes segmentation fault.

setting LD_PROFILE to any value causes a segmentation fault.

$ LD_PROFILE=foo
$ gdb
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Is there a fix for this?

possibly a related bug at http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=13818
