Gaim want connect when i am connected throug peap

HI
I have been using gaim for a week now and find it perfect suitable for my needs. though today I decide to use gaim at my school which uses a peap encrypted wireless network. I can connect to the internet through mozilla, but when I try using Gaim it can't connect. My frinds are able to connect through messenger and talk using Windows XP. What can i do?

Do you have a proxy server at school? If so you may need to configure gaim to know the address and port of the proxy server. I believe that by default msn messenger picks up the proxy settings from the browser so they would not have to set it explicity, but you probably will in GAIM.

In the account settings in GAIM can you try enabling the HTTP method under the Advanced Tab?

Accounts --> (your msn account) --> Edit account --> Advanced (tab).
