Have updated adobe flash player but when in google chrome it says Shockwave Flash player crashed.

Tried to assess on my own but am totally lost. Am not a programmer but am trying learn how to fix things. Suggestions were their might be conflict with more than one flash player?????? Thank you for your patience and help. One site about adobe flash player says for linux should be libpepflashplayer.so??????

Adobe flash player is not supported in Linux anymore. The latest version is 11.2. And is Linux entirely (not Ubuntu only).

Try to use Google Chrome (not chromium). It has the latest flash player 11.7 integrated.

This is what came up after installing chrome and i removed and reinstalled the flash player. Doesn't look like anything has changed. Did I do something wrong?? Thank you for all your help I do appreciate it. I fell kinda dumb about these things.

sudo apt-get --purge remove flashplugin-installer

Then enable the partner repo and install adobe-flashplugin package

Close all bowsers and rerun to test

Hi, true NikTh, Flash 11.2 is the last version for Linux, but Adobe will continue to provide security updates of Flash Player 11.2 on Linux for five years. Please remember this :- )

Sorry it's taken so long for me to get back. Family and car emergencies. I found that I have the same problem with the Shockwave Flash Player on my friends computer. She has Windows. So I am assuming its a programming problem with that company. Thanks for all your help and again I'm sorry it's taken me so long. If there is something else you think I need to try feel free to let me know. I worked on computers for years but not as a programmer. Basically filled in the blanks. lol
