Don't know how to install 'flash player' successfully

In order to listen to bbc iplayer i have been instructed to download up-to-date version of "flash player-10-linux.

I have downloaded it, but do not know the procedure for actually installing it on my packard bell windows xp computer!?

Can you advise step-by-step?

provide output of sudo uname -a; lsb_release -a

and are you asking about windows XP????

make note :: do not write all caps ::: it is hard to understand and looks ODD ..

you can install flash player in ubuntu by this command (if you using ubuntu !!)

sudo apt-get install flashplugin-installer

MS-WinXP support is there.
