I updated Flahplayer for Linux but it does not show

Where must I save the file after downloading. How does it know where to read it for the games I play on Facebook? I installed the latest version of flashplayer for Linux. Which one should I download. I added all 3, but it still does not show that it has been updated. Helpplease my gams are very slow

Can you give the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; dpkg -l | egrep 'flash|gnash|swf|spark'

The easiest way to fix this is probably with Flash Aid: https://github.com/webgapps/flashaid/wiki/Installation
