have tried many times and with no luck.any ideas on how to get it to work.

else type the following in terminal :
    sudo dpkg -i install_flash_player_10_linux.deb
or
    sudo apt-get install apturl
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install adobe-flashplugin
