speed up my system

What games are slow? Are they games that you play in your web browser?

there are a lot of games i play that are really slow...poker on facebook..yes i play them in m web browser

So they are all in a browser and they are flash based?

i think so im not sure if they are flash based...hahaha i don't even know what flashed based is :)

If they run in a web browser then they will probably be flash based, using Adobe's plugin.

Can you give the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; dpkg -l | egrep 'flash|gnash|swf|spark'

Please try logging on to your Ubuntu system with a different user account, and see if the problem still occurs. If you only have one user account, you can create a second one for testing purposes. This is a diagnostic step--I am not proposing this as a reasonable solution to your problem.

Please also try another web browser application, to see if the problem is Firefox-specific. Again, this is a diagnostic step. You might try the Chromium browser (obtainable by installing the package called chromium-browser in the Software Center) or Midori (install midori in the Software Center).

nope this dont work either i am still having the same problems....games are very slow

Try running this command in the Terminal:

sudo apt-get purge flashplugin-downloader flashplugin-installer; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get -y upgrade; sudo apt-get install adobe-flashplugin

Then quit all web browser windows, go back into your web browser, and see if there is any improvement. If not, please select all the text in the Terminal, copy it to the clipboard, and paste it here.

ok i put in this command and now no games play

Ok you have 2 flash plugins installed, this will cause conflicts

run:

sudo apt-get --purge remove flashplugin-downloader flashplugin-installer gnash gnash-common; sudo apt-get clean; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree

And yu will have one flash plugin and be ok
