Flash Player Update or Install Freezes
First of all, I want to make reference to a previous posted question:
-------
Title: update/flash player problem
For: Ubuntu “update-manager” package
Question #90556
Asked by Bob Parkin

Now the situation is:
I installed Ubuntu a about three months ago. *Copy-paste from About Ubuntu*
[ You are using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - the Lucid Lynx - released in April 2010 and supported until April 2013. ]
After around a week of using it, Firefox started acting awkwardly and did not load most pages. The problem must have begun at this point. I decided to ignore it and installed both Chromium and Konqueror to browse the INTERNET, instead of Firefox. Eventually I noticed that I could not view videos on 'you tube' or run 'flash player' applications. Then I tried around 10 ways to install flash player and none worked.
This is the main issue, I WANT to be able to view videos and run applications.
Today I decided to browse for a solution and found the previously made question above. The steps seemed new to me so I decided to try it with hopes on getting the flash player working. I shall post here the results of the commands used for the answer above with hopes that one of you knows what those results imply and get me an answer to my version of the problem.
Thank you in advance.
