Firefox flash plugin checker problem

Hi

According to the firefox plugin checker page im using flash version 'Shockwave Flash 10.0 r42' which it says is up to date. However according to adobe http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ the latest version is version 10.0.42.34-why does my flash have a r42 on it?

because, when you installed this version via ubuntu, ubuntu/canonical comes with updates. this proccess could take some time.
sometimes ubuntu doesn't provide updates at all, when it isn't nec. or when there are no security issue's involved. When there are sec. issue's, ubuntu will come with updates.(fast)!
