related to TOR software

i get folowing massage when i run tor

but when i check through site then find that tor is not being use to rich site

Try installing Vidalia http://vidalia-project.net/ it's a manager for tor and try to change the identity (a option that appear with Vidalia)
This will change your currently-used proxy for a new one, retry again with the newest. Oh, about the damn slowed speed it's a regular thing... you're browing the web with a proxy, remember this.

1.) Your problem described in your first post happens if you try to start tor if it's already started.
2.) Tor is sometimes really slow, so if this happens you're probably using tor :) To speed it up a bit I suggest using polipo and not privoxy.
3.) For checking if everything with tor is alright, you should use vidalia as said. You can install it by hand or use my ppa https://launchpad.net/%7Eadnarim/+archive .
