There are drivers on the avasys (printer manufacturer) website:

You will need to install the "lsb" package from the software repositories (software centre) before you can install the driver, as it is listed as a prerequisite for the driver.

You want either this (32 bit ubuntu):
http://linux.avasys.jp/drivers/lsb/epson-inkjet/stable/debian/dists/lsb3.2/main/binary-i386/epson-inkjet-printer-escpr_1.0.3-1lsb3.2_i386.deb

or this (64 bit ubuntu):

http://linux.avasys.jp/drivers/lsb/epson-inkjet/stable/debian/dists/lsb3.2/main/binary-amd64/epson-inkjet-printer-escpr_1.0.3-1lsb3.2_amd64.deb

If you are unsure if you have 32 bit ubuntu, or 64 bit ubuntu (you can run 32 bit on a 64 bit chip, so thats not necessarily an indication), please open a terminal with Ctrl+Alt+T, and run this command

uname -m

if it prints "x86_64", you are using a 64 bit version of ubuntu. If it prints something else, you are running 32 bit.
