Inbox is not a program. It is a place where email stores answers that come in. Hence "inbox"...

What email program are you using? I use Sylpheed which creates folders called "Inbox" "Sent" "Draft" "Trash" and "Queue"

What makes you think that "inbox" has removed Google as your browser? Google Chrome? Hav e you tried reinstalling it?

Do you mean "homepage"? Google is not a browser, and nor is inbox.com -- they are simply web pages, which are display through the browser... Have you installed any plugins or extensions? Are you running firefox or chrome?

it may be. We need more info from the user. If the user is using firefox, then the best thing to do would be to move the .mozilla folder to some backup location to give the user a clean profile.

Are you running the program Wine? Wine is a program that lets you run Microsoft Windows files in operating systems like Ubuntu. If you do have Wine on your system, it may have contracted a Windows virus and needs to be removed. www.winehq.org

I am new to this, so I will try to to explain what is happening, I am using Firefox to get onto the Internet, then it opens up into Google so I can search the net. For some reason it now opens up in "inbox" and I cant change it back to Google I have tried. How can I completely delete this from my computer. Thank you to all those who are helping me.

I suspect your home page has been reset.

I cannot be sure from your description, but we can try something anyway.

First, close all open browser windows.

Open the Home folder from the top bar under "places", now click the view menu and select "show hidden files".

A folder called ".mozilla" Should be visible. Select it, then press F2 to rename it. Change the name to something like ".mozilla-backup". Now restart firefox.

Note that all your history, saved passwords and bookmarks are stored in the .mozilla folder. By renaming them you will not be able to access them, but you will have a clean slate to start from.

you can delete the backup folder if you are sure there is nothing from your old profile that you need.
