How to enable JavaScript to sign in my hotmail ?

Then i'm trying to connect to the hotmail the following error message appears

" JavaScript required to sign in

Windows Live ID requires Java-script to sign in. This web browser either does not support JavaScript, or scripts are being blocked.

To find out whether your browser supports Java-script, or to allow scripts, see the browser's online help."

The OS is ubuntu 10.10 x86 and the browser is Firefox.

Pls note that in Firefox at Edit--> Preferences---> content: the check-box "Enable JavaScript" is checked

You can try this:

Go to the Ubuntu Software Center, and type and install OpenJDK Java 6 Web Start.

You can try this:

Go to the Ubuntu Software Center, and type and install "OpenJDK Java 6 Web Start", or you can type and install "Icedtea Java Plugin."
