Want to put a MID/kar karaoke application on Ubuntu

Hi Folks:
I tried placing pykaraoke on my Ubuntu PC but got lost in the noise. Installation of the four supporting files didn't go well. Anybody know of a karaoke player that is easier to install? Or can anyone provide a simplified installation procedure tof pykaraoke

well in amarok there is a script for amarok called lrc show. It's really really nice, but it only has popular songs.
