firefox-3.0 package

Can't go to addons. And forward,backward buttons are disabled.

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

I downloaded some addons and I cannot remember them exactly. Now I cannot go to the addons. THe forward and backward buttons are disabled also. How should I reset the addons without going to moziilla's window (tools->addons)?

The site I downloaded is https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/. The OS is ubuntu 8.10 desktop version.

This more of a question than a bug. To solve this issue you should start Firefox in safe mode. You do that by either pressing Alt+F2 (in Gnome) and typing in "firefox -safe-mode" into the box, or typing the same thing into a terminal window. In safe mode all addons are disabled and you should be able to uninstall the faulty ones.

open terminal and type:

killall firefox

and go to the mozilla folder and delete the addons that you dont want from path below

/home/(username)/.mozilla/firefox/(something).default/extensions/

open the various folders, then identify the addons you dont want and then delete them.
simple

well if this does not work then you may delete the whole folder of extensions
if this doesnt work then you can reinstall firefox. but reinstalling may delete your stuff linked to mozilla
