size of window at open

Asked by sjbaugh

A web page that I opened has resized firefox 3.0.3 so that it is now larger tan the size of the desktop. Every time I start firefox it starts up at this size and I cannot get to the re-size handles on the window to reset it to a more useful non-maximized size. The file>Quit menu is available but there is no window title bar visible,

System:

Firefox 3.0.3
Linux: Ubuntu Hardy Heron 64 bit.

I cannot find a Edit>Preferences option to change this.

Any Ideas? Thanks,

Steve, England.

well you can right click on panel area (showing open windows)
and select option MOVE
you will see four sided arrow cursur
now you can move window (without clicking anywhere)
take window to desired position
and access controls for maximizing etc...

hope it helps

As the window covered the task bars, I had to do:

Edit>Preferences

This made the task bar visible when the dialogue box opened so I could do the Maximize/Unmaximize as suggested.

Thanks amit,

Steve
