The file;

                amsn-0.96-2.tcl84.x86.package

is the latest version of aMsn, how it can be istalled on my ebuntu platform.

Do you really need the latest version? The version in the latest Ubuntu/Edubuntu is 0.95.

You can install this from System --> Administration --> Synaptic Package manager.
