cannot run itunes software on my pc

i cannot run the itunes i downloaded for my pc what is the problem it will not open it

It may run in wine. Check the wine appdb but I doubt it will work. The only real way to get iTunes to work is to run Windows in a virtualbox instance (or similar) then use iTunes from there.

Yep it still won't work. If you just want to put files on your device you can use Rhythmbox or Banshee or Amarok but they will not communicate with iTunes to allow purchasing as the protocol used is proprietary.

If you had an Android device it will be seen as a USB drive and is much easier but oh well
