Trying to install cliptrak after download. Setup.exe doesn't work

Asked by kmatejka

I downloaded cliptrak in firefoxand and got 4 files: clip_src.zip, license.txt, readme.exe and setup.exe. When I click on setup I get: "Open Files" with 2 empty boxes underneath. (Available apps and recent applications) Then one that says "application". I have no clue what to do. Works fine in Windows which I am trying to abandon. When I look at properties for cliptrak.exe on the desk top Type is displays as "DOS/Windows executable". That is where, I think. the problem is. Help, please. I am obviously new at this. When I get your answer for this, will the steps you give applied to other downloads?

Hi:

Linux will not recognize .exe, unles you use either wine, or VMWare. Try using some native program.

Can you help with this problem?
