Problem with ubuntu 13.04 raring no gui

today I update my laptop samsung np-z700 with hybrid graphic to ubuntu 13.04 raring and folling the update I am not able to see any graphica interface. I tried installing ati drivers from

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/ATI

but no results. only terminal is available.

running fglrxinfor
return
Error: unable to open display (null)

Can any one help?

Are you aware that 13.04 has only three weeks support. See site below.

thanks Micheal, no I was not aware. I am new to linux. is there a way I can go back to Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS without formatting the drive?

You will need to reinstall to get the older release
