F-spot: Trying to find the best way to transfer images from one computer or another or from a back up.
I've done a fresh install on a computer and I saved the F-spot archive on an external HD and re-imported the images onto the fresh install. I had F-Spot set to saving the tag info on the images. This saved the tag names on the images but lost the icon information and it no longer remembered parent tag information, all tags were equal. Also I had hoped that the images that had been modified would be imported properly under the "modified" title as opposed to the "original" in the left side info box but that is not the case. All images are listed as orginal with modified ones just having the "31 (modified).jpeg" names. Is there anyway to get better results on these issues? Or are any of these things goal for future releases. I can imagine a backup utility inside F-Spot that could make these things happen.
Also, is there a better place for me to be posting this? I started on the F-Spot home page and ended up here on what seems to be a more generic Ubuntu questions page...
