camera no longer opens F-Spot to load pictures into computer since upgrading the Ubuntu

Did not see the 'safely remove' feature. What is 'OS'? I found myself
in a 'shotwell' program that I ended up downloading all my pictures
into. I have no idea how to get back into it or how to transfer new
pictures into the file I want them in. The 'shotwell program looks very
organized, something I could use, but have no idea how to navigate in
it. Help is needed and appreciated. Also, when I minimize a screen,
how do I open it again? I have no idea where it goes as there used to
be a location in the bar on the bottom of the screen, but not now. I
have since found my way back to leave another question regarding my
printer not working since I upgraded Ubuntu. I'm sure the new upgrade
will be more convenient once I learn to navigate it. Thank you.

Thank you! My computer now opened 'shotwell' when I plugged it in.
Now, how do I transfer pictures from one file to another? All I saw
under 'file' was 'import ...'

Since it worked for the camera, do you think it may work for the printer
also?

I plugged the camera into an XP USB port even though there is no
software on that computer for it to accept the camera. I let it try to
connect until it told me it wouldn't work. I then plugged it back into
the Ubuntu computer and the 'shotwell' program opened and allowed me to
load the pictures into the computer. That problem seems to be solved.
Now I need to know how the 'shotwell' program provides for moving
pictures into different files. If you can help with that, all my
_known_ problems will be solved except how to minimize and retrieve so I
can work in two different programs at the same time. Any help will be
greatly appreciated.

I have heard that you can have a split screen to work two along side
each other for reference (which would solve my question in the above
paragraph).

My question about my printer not working since the upgrade was resolved
by doing the same thing I did with the camera. *Thank you.*

Thank you for the help. I plugged the camera into an XP computer and then back into the Ubuntu and it now works. I now put my pictures in the 'shotwell' and then into the files I keep them in so I can email them.
